IKEA - Movie Marketing

31 december 2009 | Durables |

On the last day of the year we found this creative piece of guerrilla marketing from Austria. Many movies and TV shows use IKEA furniture on their sets. Marketing teams hired by the Swedish company used this fact to create a buzz around the new catalogue in cinema centers. As soon as an IKEA-product showed up in a movie, they projected the name and price on the screen. The results are quite funny.

Brandactivation wishes everybody a healthy and creative 2010!

The ten best photos are now posted on an action site and that means the start of the second round of this campaign. People can forward the winning images as an e-card or place them as a poster on their Hyves social media account to win an iPhone Touch. The photos are quite funny and I’m curious of the next part of the campaign will also be a success.
